Horsehair Leather Brush No. 7

A horsehair brush is recommended for applying conditioning cream and maintaining leather. Commonly known as the preferred shoe-shine brush, horsehair bristles are fine and soft enough to not scratch the leather surface. It is suitable for removing dust and debris from the surface of the leather binder. It is also recommended for applying cream-type conditioning oil—it can help buff the leather evenly into the leather and lift off excess.

The thin bristles are long enough to clean between the crevices of the leather binder and the backplate, as well as the pebbled surface of Shrink leather.

Cleaning instruction

After use, simply wipe the brush with a cloth to remove excess conditioning cream and set to dry. If the bristles become encrusted over frequent use, you can wash them with dishwashing liquid.
